One authentic 1m x 1m blessed Kiswah. The gold embroidery measures 45cm x 30cm approx. This piece was placed on the Holy Ka'bah in Makkah during year 2017 (1438 Hijri).
 
The calligraphy reads "Ya Hayyu, Ya Qayyum," which are two of Allah's swt 99 Names, "O Ever-Living One, O Self-Existing One upon Whom we all depend."
 
Every year, the old Kiswah is removed, cut into pieces, and given to certain individuals, visiting foreign Muslim dignitaries and organizations. In earlier times, Umar bin al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه)would cut it into pieces and distribute them among pilgrims who used them as shelter from the heat of Makkah. 
 
This Kiswah was made in the Kiswah Factory in Makkah, and comes without a frame. The piece of Blessed Kiswah retains its beautiful fragrance (itr) used to perfume the Ka'bah.
