This Ka'bah Kiswah is a unique piece, with the gold and silver embroidery measuring 2.5m x 1m.
This piece was placed on the Holy Ka'bah in Makkah during year 2017 (1438 Hijri).
The Quranic passage embroidered in gold calligraphy on this Kiswah says: "The first sanctuary appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah, a blessed place, a guidance for the peoples." (3:96)
Islamic tradition identify Bakkah as the ancient name for the site of Makkah, it is said to be more specifically the early name for the valley located therein, while Muslim scholars generally use it to refer to the sacred area of the city that immediately surrounds and includes the Ka'bah.
This Kiswah was made in the Kiswah Factory in Makkah, and comes without a frame. The piece of Blessed Kiswah retains its beautiful fragrance (itr) used to perfume the Ka'bah.
